Coach Selection
Coaches are selected for teams each year and are not guaranteed the same position from year to year. Parents interested in coaching should indicate the same when registering their child for the upcoming year. The coach selection process shall be as follows:
- Interested Coach Candidates – those interested in coaching should email NGBA nbptgirlsbasketballreg@gmail.
com or indicate interest during the registration process. In cases where there are more candidates than coaching positions, candidates may be asked to provide additional information about their interest and experience. - Confirmation of Interest – after teams are selected, volunteers will confirm their interest and role (head coach, assistant) in the team for which their daughter has been chosen.
- Board Discussion and Vote – Board will meet in a reasonable time after teams are selected to discuss and pick coaches. All deliberations are confidential. Any Board member who wants to coach will be recused from the discussion and vote on that grade.
- Coaches Meeting – a mandatory meeting of the coaches will be held prior to the season. Failure to participate without a valid reason will be grounds for replacement.
